I work primarily in painting, which allows a bridging from present to past. What emblems most signify ancestral and societal endurance? Which symbols reflect both change and sustained continuity, generation to generation? Painting presents a way for me to understand and become more connected with both old and new world traditional cultures including my own British and Scandinavian ancestry. This convergence hopefully yields a personal story worth telling: Something built on vibrancy, nostalgia, and energy for individuality.
Relative to art practice, I have no CV, with the exception of a photograph published in men’s fashion & philosophy magazine Dapper Dan, Issue 04, Autumn/Winter 2011 entitled “Silverado”. This owing a debt of gratitude to Alison Beckner, Vassilis Karidis, and Nicholas Georgiou.
